Audi driving experience instructor, Daniel Gaunt, has proved too good for the opposition in Round Two of the CAMS NSW Production Sports Car Championship, taking his R8 LMS to two race wins over the weekend.

Held at Sydney’s Motorsport Park, the race program saw two sprint events and a one hour race that included driver changes, with Audi the brand to beat across the entire event.

In the first race, Nick Kelly in the #99 Audi R8 LMS ultra managed to hold out Matt Stoupas in another Audi to take the win, while in the second print event it was Audi driving experience (ADE) instructor, Daniel Guant (pictured below), who took the top spot in the #124 Audi R8 LMS he shares with Gary Higgon.

The final event of the weekend was a one hour enduro with Gaunt again dominating the opposition to record his second win of the weekend and give Audi a clean sweep of the round.

In addition to his ADE duties, Gaunt has been busy racing Audis at every opportunity in 2018, producing a podium finish in the production sports car class at the Bathurst 6 hour, and also driving the #3 Audi R8 LMS GT3 at this year’s Bathurst 12 Hour race in February.
