In addition, the plan includes off-peak rates between the hours of 1am and 6am to encourage electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles during low demand periods

Audi Australia has partnered with Origin Energy to launch a new program to give Audi e-tron owners access to a range of benefits including free home charging during certain periods.

Launching this month, the Origin EV Energy Plan will see the exclusive use of 100 percent green power* used to charge vehicles in the home as well as enabling new and existing Audi e-tron owners to charge their vehicles at no charge between 10am and 3pm each day.

In addition, the plan includes off-peak rates between the hours of 1am and 6am which is designed to encourage electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles during these periods when energy demand across the National Electricity Market (NEM) is lowest and wholesale energy prices are at their cheapest.

In addition to this low and no cost energy availability, Audi e-tron owners can also receive a discount on Smart EV Charger installation in their home through Origin Energy, that can be automatically set up to optimise charging times.

These benefits come on top of the those already offered to Audi customers when they purchase any one of the Audi e-tron models now available in Australia, including the high-performance Audi e-tron GT quattro and RS e-tron GT models launch earlier this year. These benefits include a six-year subscription to the Chargefox charging network of which Audi is a founding partner. This gives owners access to unlimited charging on all ultra-rapid and selected fast and standard chargers within the Chargefox network which use 100 percent GreenPower.

Audi e-tron owners also receive complimentary six year Audi scheduled servicing and six year Audi Roadside Assistance from time of purchase to further enhance their ownership experience.

"This unique new home-charging offer with Origin, in combination with the existing EV offers exclusively available for Audi e-tron customers presents a well-rounded and more sustainable ecosystem for both public and home charging," said Jeff Mannering, Director of Audi Australia.

A well-rounded and more sustainable ecosystem for both public and home charging

'This holistic approach sets the standard for supporting those driving electric vehicles'

Jeff Mannering – Director Audi Australia

"This holistic approach sets the standard for supporting those driving electric vehicles – those leading the charge for more sustainably-focused lifestyles and mobility."

Chau Le, General Manager E-Mobility, Origin echoes Mr Mannering’s sentiment:

"Origin is committed to helping get more EVs on the road and to do this we need to make it easier and more affordable for people to get into their first EV and then support them at all points of their EV journey.”

The Origin EV Energy Plan is available to eligible Audi e-tron customers in Victoria, New South Wales, South-East Queensland, ACT and South Australia. As Origin Energy is not currently active in the Western Australian or Tasmanian markets, customers in these regions are not eligible to receive this offer.

To opt in, Audi e-tron owners will need to be an existing Origin customer or will have to make the switch from their current provider to Origin. For more information on this offer, visit Origin Energy.

*GreenPower enables households and businesses to match their electricity use with government-accredited renewable energy. Under the program, Origin will source the equivalent amount of energy from GreenPower accredited sources.
