An epic journey down Australia's east coast – a classic road trip but with a distinctly contemporary twist – 3500 kilometres, zero emissions.

After years spent living overseas, Australian photographer, Woody Gooch, made the decision to come home and explore his own ‘back yard’ – treading softly and leaving the environment just as he found it. From the surf breaks of his native Queensland, right down the stunning east coast of the country and up into the rugged high country, exploring the ever changing natural wonders along the way and developing a greater appreciation for what his own country has to offer.

An epic 3500 kilometre journey of rediscovery undertaken in the Audi e-tron, taking in some familiar sights and exploring new ones for the first time – catching up on old friends and making new ones throughout the journey.

Electric Eye is the result of that expedition, a short film that condenses the trip and the effect it had on Woody’s thinking – a kaleidoscope of colour captured on film and in the stunning images Woody shot along the way.

Audi Magazine went along for the ride and to chronicle the expedition, from the surf breaks and coastal exploration in the first instalment and on up into the high country and the very roof of Australia in the second part – this is a celebration of Australia and just some of what this country has to offer.
