A virtual race car come to life. The Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo, showed for the first time just last week, made its working debut over the Rome ePrix race weekend to the sheer delight of race goers who flocked around the car as if were royalty.

Although not actually competing, the Audi e-tron Vision Gran Turismo served as the official race taxi, taking guests and race enthusiasts on a thrilling ride into the future, as it carried people around the track over the course of the weekend.

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler (pictured), was amongst those who took to the track in the futuristic vehicle which will make appearances in the same role at all European rounds of the Formula E championship for the remainder of the season.
