Audi Australia will expand the current Q7 line-up early in the new year with the addition of a petrol version – the Q7 55 TFSI. With its 3.0-litre V6 powerplant producing 250kW of power and 500Nm of torque, the 55 TFSI sees off the 0 to 100km/h sprint in just 5.9 seconds, making it the fastest in the Q7 range, with only the range-topping SQ7 TDI quicker off the mark.

The Q7 55 TFSI uses Audi superb eight-speed tiptronic transmission and of course [power goes to all four wheel through quattro permanent all-wheel drive.

The Q7, with its generous dimensions, luxurious appointment and uncompromising performance has been a popular favourite with Australian customers since its first appearance in 2006. Since then, the large, luxury SUV has won hearts anew with each successive model and the current models, launched earlier this year in TDI form have again proved a great success, even on a market impacted by the COVID pandemic.

With its ability to carry up to seven people in absolute comfort, high level of standard equipment and cutting-edge automotive technology and performance coupled with tremendous agility, that continuing popularity is easy to understand.

While petrol variants have been offered for Q7 in the past, this is the first time in the current model that customers will be able to opt for a petrol engine. Pricing for the Q7 55 TFSI has been announced at $121,300* which will see it slot into the range between the Q7 TDI S line and SQ7 TDI.

Another model receiving even greater performance is the iconic TT, with the new 45 TFSI quattro tiptronic, joining the current TT line-up

Also arriving next year, the A4 allroad quattro 40 TDI also receives a power increase of 10kW to 150kW and 400Nm of torque, making it half a second faster to 100km/h than its predecessor. To be priced at $70,700*, the new TDI engine features twin-dosing Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), with double AdBlue injection for even cleaner, more efficient operation and its 4.9L/100km makes it one of the most efficient mid-sized luxury wagons on the market – down from 5.2L/100km on the previous model.

The Audi allroad quattro models have also struck a chord with Australian customers since their first arrival, with an A6 and this, the A4 variants providing the perfect balance between SUV practicality and a more car-like ride and driving dynamic.

Another model receiving even greater performance is the iconic TT, with the new 45 TFSI quattro tiptronic, joining the current TT line-up.

Priced at $80,900* the TT 45 TFSI quattro tiptronic develops 180kW and 370Nm of torque to see it hit 100km/h from standstill in 5.2 seconds on the way to an electronically governed top speed of 250km/h. This earns it the title of fastest member of the TT line-up, excluding its S and RS siblings.
