S line models announced

Audi Australia has announced the introduction of special ’S line Editions’ for the A1, Q2 and Q3 model lines for a limited time, representing significant additional features and equipment for these popular models.

With styling, equipment and tech highlights, the S line Editions also represent significant value for customers, raising the bar across the board for only marginal price increases over the models on which they are based.

“Each of these models is already acknowledged for their unique individual style, performance, and appointment,” says Audi Australia Director, Jeff Mannering, “and we are further building on those attributes with these variants.”

The specific models offered are the A1 35 TFSI S line Edition, Q2 35 TFSI S line Edition and the Q3 35 TFSI offered in both SUV and Sportback as a special S line Edition variant. All are extremely popular models in their respective premium compact segments, with broad customer appeal further enhanced with the new offering.

Priced from $41,800*, the A1 35 TFSI S line Edition offers more than $7000 worth of additional equipment for just $2600 over the regular price, significantly raising the bar for the sporty five-door model.

New equipment includes the S line exterior package offered on the A1 for first time. This comprises a new Singleframe front grille treatment along with S line front and rear bumpers, side sills and a distinctive new roof edge spoiler. Metallic paint and a black exterior package add to the appeal and overall sporty look of the A1, with the regular model badging removed and the Audi rings and trim elements – including side mirror covers and roof – finished in black. That means an all black vehicle for those customers ordering vehicles ordered in Mythos black. Wheels too, measuring 17-inches in a five-arm polygon design also finished in black. 

Additional equipment and tech includes adaptive LED headlights and LED rear lights with dynamic indicators, while inside the A1 35 TFSI S line Edition features sport front seats with lumbar adjustment covered in ‘Derby’ pattern upholstery, while leather appointed upholstery is also available as an option for $1,500.

Customers will also be able to take things further with an optional Comfort package for $1,000, which adds heated front seats adjustable in three stages as well as two-zone climate control and an LED colour interior lighting package with 30 selectable colours. 

The Q2 35 TFSI S line Edition at $50,900* likewise sees the addition of the S line exterior package on Q2 for the first time, building on the compact SUV’s already distinctive styling. This includes front and rear bumpers and side sills, an extended black exterior styling package that sees the Singleframe grille accents, trim strips on the side windows and front and rear bumper trims all in black, as well as the C-pillar blade, side mirror covers and 19-inch alloy wheels in a 10-Y-spoke design. 

This represents a total of $7000 over the base Q2 35 TFSI price for just an additional $1500.

An optional Comfort package is also offered for the Q2 35 TFSI S line models, which, for $2100 includes heated front seats that are adjustable in three stages, auto-dimming interior mirror, heated and folding side mirrors, privacy glass and 180-Watt Audi Sound System. The Comfort package also includes Park assist and Hold assist.

While the S line exterior package is already included on the Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI, the Q3 35 TFSI S line edition marks the first time it has been offered on the Q3 35 TFSI SUV, and the S line Edition treatment includes additional inclusions to both Q3 variants.

Coming in at $58,500 for the Q3 35 TFSI S line Edition and $62,000 for the Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI S line Edition, the additional equipment represents $3,500 of added value for the Sportback and over $5,000 for the SUV variant for just $1,000 over the standard Q3 35 TFSI models they are based on.

Both the SUV and Sportback Q3 models also ride on distinctive 19-inch alloy rims in 20-spoke-V-design, with full paint finish including bumpers in metallic and pearlescent paint finishes as a standard inclusion.

All of these S line special editions elevate already enormously popular Audi models and give them an unmistakably sporty style and presence. With their additional equipment, features and styling, they represent the pinnacle of evolution within their respective ranges and will resonate with those looking for outstanding value in the compact premium segment.
