There is only one Tom Kristensen. Mr Le Mans as he is known has conquered the world’s toughest endurance race – the 24 Hours of Le Mans – a record nine times in a career that is without peer in motorsport.

Now retired from competition, Kristensen remains an Audi motorsport ambassador and is perhaps busier than even satisfying myriad commitments around the world. But late last year, he journeyed to Australia to be the special guest at Audi Sport Week at the newly opened ‘The Bend Motorsport Park in Tailem Bend, South Australia.

Over the course of the week, Tom Kristensen thrilled media and other guests with his unique insights into the world of motorsport and shared some of the highlights of his truly extraordinary career. Some guests were even fortunate enough to enjoy hot laps with the Great Dane around the sweeping South Australian circuit and all were in awe of the incredibly humble nature of one of the greatest racing drivers of the modern era.

While in Australia, Kristensen also took part in the filming of The Art of Endurance which offers a glimpse into the life and career of the man. The film, produced by Qube Productions, was shortlisted for the 2019 International Motor Film Awards in London. Congratulations to all those involved in the production of The Art of Endurance and to Tom Kristensen for his participation and invaluable insights.
