Maintaining your Audi as it ages and the way the maker intended is now easier and more cost effective than ever before with the Audi Essential Service program. Designed specifically for all Audis eight years or older*, the Essential Service ensures that your Audi is looked after by factory-trained technicians using the latest Audi diagnostics and genuine Audi parts.

At its heart is the simple yet valid idea that an older Audi deserves the same degree of attention to detail that made it desirable in the first place.

The program offers two fixed-price service options to choose from that look after basic servicing needs while providing a detailed ‘health check’ on your vehicle at the same time. The Audi Essential Service is $399 and includes replacement of the engine oil and oil filter with Audi Genuine Parts, a comprehensive vehicle inspection, a digital inspection report, an Audi logbook stamp and resetting of the service interval display.

As well as the oil service, owners receive their digital report which outlines any issues the Audi technicians may have uncovered during their inspection, and the recommendation going forward as to what is required to maintain or return the vehicle to peak performance. Customers can simply accept or decline any additional work with the touch of a button, but those who choose to proceed will also receive an automatic 20 percent discount on any additional genuine Audi components required to complete the work.

An even more extensive option is also available with the Audi Essential Service Plus at just $499. In addition to the standard oil service, this option also includes replacement of the dust and pollen cabin filter and includes up to 12 months of Audi Service Initiated Roadside Assistance, representing extraordinary value. Again, any additional recommended repairs or service items will be flagged to the owner via the digital report and the option to proceed using genuine parts at an automatic 20 percent discount.

In addition, the vehicle inspection as part of the service component is extensive to help ensure each vehicle is maintained in peak condition, isolating any potential issues so that they can be remedied before becoming problems. Technicians look at a broad range of components, from the battery, cooling and fuel systems to the gearbox and final drive. Steering and suspension, wheels and tyres, brakes, lighting, seat belts and the exhaust system are also inspected, and a road test forms part of the assessment.

Audi Essential Service is available for eligible vehicles across the Audi range, including A, Q, TT, S and RS models. That means the philosophy applies equally be it a sophisticated A6, a versatile Q5, a much-loved TT or a performance-oriented S or RS model.

The fixed-price structure means that routine maintenance is easily planned for and the diagnostic component of the Essential Service allows you to isolate potential issues and deal with them if they arise. And of course there is also the added value should you ever decide to sell your vehicle, being able to show a potential buyer your vehicle’s Audi service history.
