While the obvious focus of the coming Formula 1 opener will be the Albert Park Grand Prix circuit, the Audi Revolut F1 Team is making its presence felt right across Melbourne. In the lead up to the first race, fans will be able to connect with the Audi Revolut F1 Team in any number of unique ways, from major city installations in the form of the AFLOAT venue on the Yarra River, to collaborations with local cafes and food outlets.

Signage throughout the city is already raising the profile of the Team’s arrival in Melbourne, from billboards to completely wrapped trams, but it is the AFLOAT venue – an enormous permanently moored pontoon on the Yarra that will be the off-track centrepiece and the team’s public headquarters throughout the Australian Grand Prix weekend.

Open to fans from Thursday onwards, this unique venue will feature big screens to show all of the action as well as showcasing some of the brand’s current and past automotive triumphs, with race and road cars from Audi on hand as the perfect backdrop for the race weekend.

That includes the legendary Audi R8 LMP car in its famous ‘Crocodile’ livery – the car that won the ‘Race of a Thousand Years’ in Adelaide in 2000 and now represents a proud link between the brand and racing Down Under.

There are also interactive racing simulators, a cinematic 180 degree spatial film experience on Apple Vision Pro, and mission-control inspired installations bringing fans closer to the technology, precision and ambition that drives the Audi brand. But if a simple coffee is more to your taste, that too carries the Audi Revolut F1 Team mark, with celebrated Axil Coffee Roasters co-branding with the team across 16 venues right around Melbourne during race week.

“Our entry into Formula 1 is not only about competing on track. It is about how we show up as a brand,” says Stefano Battiston, Chief Commercial Officer of Audi Revolut F1 Team.

“Melbourne is one of the world’s great Formula 1 cities, and for our first race we wanted to create something open, accessible and culturally-connected.”

This approach includes the likes of special sandwiches from iconic Nico’s Deli, where drivers Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto have each created their own signature sandwich for race week – their creations bearing their race numbers, #27 and #5 respectively.

Other Team partners are also taking part in the action, from the Gillette Barber Box offering race-ready styling with leading Melbourne barbers, to activations from fuel partner bp and even local social fun runs with apparel partner adidas.

It’s a full and exciting program leading up to the main event, giving race fans the chance to connect with the Audi Revolut F1 Team on any number of levels before the race weekend gets underway in earnest.
