There is no waiting around for 2023 to ramp up, with new models on their way and new challenges already underway.

2 January, 2023

While the highlights from 2022 are too many to count, you won’t have to wait long for 2023 to kick into gear as we set out to eclipse the year that was.

Coming up in January alone, the world premiere of the latest ‘sphere’ concept will take place with the covers removed from the Audi active sphere concept in a matter of weeks. Locally, we will see the official launch of the Audi RS e-tron GT and Audi e-tron GT models ushering in a new era in electric mobility Down Under.

We will also release details of the coming Audi Q5 PHEV models – the brand’s first plug-in hybrid model to be offered in Australia and one which combines not only the attributes of Audi’s electric technology coupled with its 2.0-litre TFSI engine, but in the award-winning Q5 model. Certainly a case of the best of both worlds.

Amazingly it was only a year ago that the brand first took to the desert in its maiden Dakar Rally campaign. Now, 12 months down the track, a revised RS Q e-tron model is one again in Saudi Arabia to see if Audi Sport can go one better with its outstanding team of drivers and co-drivers and put the desert racers with electric drive on the podium at the end of the event.

Locally, the Bathurst 12 Hour race returns to Mount Panorama at the beginning of next month and will once again see the return of the international teams after last year’s postponement due to COVID. This year will also mark the 25th anniversary of the brand’s iconic TT model, with exciting news for local aficionados on the horizon.

It’s a fast start to what promises to be an even faster year for Audi both here in Australia and around the globe.
