Pricing announced for new A5 range

Audi Australia has confirmed pricing for the all-new A5 models arriving next month.

A completely new model line-up for Audi, the A5 and S5 range will soon touch down in Australia, bringing sharp pricing to match its dynamic styling.

With the halfway mark for the calendar year fast approaching, Audi Australia has confirmed the make up, pricing and specification of the newest addition to the Audi fleet for 2025. Based on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC), the all-new A5 range of vehicles will arrival from next month, heralding the introduction of a completely new model range that effectively amalgamates the A4 and A5 ranges into a new, svelte lineup made up of both Sedan and Avant body styles. And while elements of each of the aforementioned ranges can be seen in this new range, it brings its own unique and distinctive sense of style, with an undeniably sporting character and a host of new equipment and automotive technology as well as superb driving dynamics.

The Australian offering will be made up of the A5 Sedan as well as both S5 Sedan and S5 Avant body styles. Also, commemorating the new range’s Australian arrival, a limited-edition S5 edition one will be available in both Sedan and Avant configurations.

The A5 TFSI S line will arrive Down Under from $79,900*, featuring a four-cylinder TFSI power plant developing 150kW of power and 340Nm of torque, mated to a seven-speed S tonic transmission with power going down to the road through the front wheels.

As the name suggests, even this entry model features an S line exterior as standard, which includes the S line front and rear bumpers, as well as 19-inch gloss-turned alloy wheels in a distinctive five-arm aero design and Matrix LED headlights with selectable digital signatures.

Luxuriously appointed inside as well, the A5 TFSI S line features sport seats with electric adjustment and memory function for the driver, heating and four-way lumbar support – all upholstered in premium leather/leatherette.

There inlays in aluminium as well as a multifunction leather steering wheel, and three-zone climate control. Audi’s new interior design is on show in the new A5 with the 14.5-inch OLED touch display and 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit seamlessly integrated into the sweeping dash design which comes alive at night thanks to the colour ambient lighting.

Then of course there are the likes of wireless smartphone integration (Android Auto and Apple CarPlay), wireless charging, USB outlets for charging and connectivity in the front and rear, Audi connect plus for navigation, infotainment, security and assistance, as well as an advanced Audi sound system and digital radio as standard. 

The A5 TFSI S line also features an impressive suite of driver assistance and safety features including Audi pre sense city with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Audi side assist, adaptive cruise control, Park Assist Plus, a 360-degree camera system and rear occupant detection.

This impressive model will be joined by the S5 Sedan and S5 Avant starting from $114,900* and $117,900* respectively, as well as a limited edition Audi S5 Sedan edition one ($99,900*) and S5 Avant edition one ($102,900*) to mark the launch of these new models in Australia.

Applying the ’S’ treatment to this stunning new models means a 3.0-litre V6 powerplant featuring Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle (MHEV) plus technology. Developing 270kW and 550Nm of torque, the S5 demolishes the sprint to 100km/h in just 4.5 seconds, with is quattro system putting the power down to the road through all four of its 20-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels with their distinctive red brake calipers.

In keeping with their performance orientation they feature the likes of S sport suspension with adjustable dampers, while visually, they wear S line exterior packages with aluminium highlights as well as Matrix LED headlights with selectable light signatures, digital OLED rear lights, and privacy glass all as standard.

Inside, fine Nappa leather upholstery with the distinctive diamond stitching

covers the heated, ventilated, and massaging front seats,  as well as the rear, which features heated outer seats. 

The multi-function steering wheel is likewise heated and the cabin gets colour ambient lighting that also features a ‘dynamic interaction strip’ to relay vehicle messages to the car’s occupants.

Tech is state-of-the-art, with standard colour head-up display featuring speed, navigation and assistance functions for the driver and the new 10.9-inch MMI display for the front passenger.

A Bang & Olufsen 3D sound system is also standard equipment and the S5 has the capability to charge laptops and tablets, using the high-power USB interfaces. Of course the S5 features Audi connect plus navigation and infotainment services as well as the Audi connect plus security and assistance services in addition to Audi smart phone interface with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection.

Safety and driver assistance systems are extensive as you would expect, with active front assist – front emergency brake assist, swerve assist, front turn assist and front cross-traffic assist standard equipment. 

Likewise adaptive cruise control with stop & go function, lane departure warning, proactive occupant protection, side assist, exit warning, rear cross-traffic and rear turn assist all part of the assistance suite on the S5 models.

Marking the  launch of these all-new models in Australia, a special Audi S5 edition one will be offered in limited numbers for both Avant and Sedan body styles. This package features unique exterior styling element including exclusive black 19-inch Audi Sport alloy wheels in a five-twin-spoke design, red brake calipers, S exterior styling with a black exterior styling package with black exterior mirrors and rings, and Matrix LED headlights with selectable light signatures all as standard. 

Inside, the edition one models include electrically adjustable, heated sport front seats with integrated headrests in a Dinamica leather combination upholstery, stainless steel pedals, a flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, ambient lighting and extensive Dinamica microfiber accents and illuminated S, rhombus and S embossing throughout the cabin.

All of the A5 and S5 models will also be covered by Audi’s five-year warranty and 12 years manufacturing warranty for bodywork against corrosion perforation for new vehicles. 

In addition, five-year service plans are available for both models and customers also can purchase Audi Advantage, an Audi-exclusive program that allows owners to purchase two-year packages to extend their servicing, warranty, and roadside assistance. New vehicle customers can purchase two-year programs back-to-back at the time of purchase, or at a later date up to eight years old, to extend the current manufacturer warranty beyond the current five-year period. This allows new vehicle owners the security of a full factory warranty for up to nine years, which is transferable to future owners of their vehicle.
