Jump in, buckle up and hang on for what promises to the blockbuster of this summer. When Twentieth Century Fox’s Spies in Disguise arrives in Australian cinemas on January 1, 2020, Audi and Will Smith will reunite for the first time since the 2004 hit, I, Robot with Audi designing a completely new concept car for the film.

This is also the brand’s first animated concept vehicle, the RSQ e-tron, which showcases not only distinctive Audi styling – with a twist – but also features a raft of the very latest automotive technology, including autonomous driving, voice recognition and some very advanced digital lighting.

Named after the futuristic Audi RSQ which was specially developed for I, Robot, the new RSQ e-tron created for the film reflects the brand’s electric electric focus in an animated vehicle that shares some of its DNA with the Audi R8 and more than a few design cues from the Audi PB18 e-tron concept car now known as the AI:RACE.

There’s also a smattering of Audi e-tron GT as well as a generous helping of fantasy, that may or may become reality at some point in the future!

Featuring the talents and the voices of the aforementioned Will Smith, Tom Holland (think Spiderman), Karen Gillan, DJ Khaled, Rashida Jones, our own Ben Mendelsohn and Reba McIntyre, Spies in Disguise is the ultimate spy thriller, with a liberal smattering of hi-tech all distilled in superb, digitally created animation.

Can super spy, Lance Sterling (Smith), save the world from the evil genius Tristan McFord (Mendelsohn) and his weaponised drones? Can boy genius, Walter Beckett, turn super spy back into a human being after inadvertently turning him into a pigeon? These questions and many others will be answered when Spies in Disguise hits cinemas in January.
