The stunning Audi Nuvolari continued its world tour of the most celebrated automotive shows and events on earth when it made its North American debut at Monterey Car Week in California. After the car’s surprise debut in the south of France, it first turned a wheel in anger on the hallowed track at the Monaco Grand Prix in the hands of Audi Revolut F1 team drivers, Gabriel Bortoleto and Nico Hulkenberg.

From there it travelled across the English Channel for a quick tour of London before blasting up the hill at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in the very capable hands of nine times Le Mans winner, Tom Kristensen.

Since conquering

Most recently, the 1001 horsepower (736kW) supercar has graced the shores of the USA. Here, sitting surrounded by some of the rarest and most striking vehicles it grabbed the attention of visitors to the Monterey Peninsula for the celebrated week long series of automotive events.

Given the significance of the car, Monterey Car Week was the only choice for its first appearance on US soil, with its international acclaim as one of ‘the’ automotive events on the world calendar, bringing together the best of the best each year and attracting guests and participants from all over the world.

“Monterey Car Week is the pinnacle premium automotive stage for Audi to showcase the brand’s first halo supercar,” Vito Paladino, President of Audi of America, said of the car’s presence at the event.

“With the Audi Nuvolari, we’re representing what Audi stands for – progress built on substance – while further igniting, energising, and growing the brand in the United States.”

During Monterey Car Week, the Audi Nuvolari was on display at the event’s most prestigious venues, including ‘The Quail’ and the renowned Concept Lawn at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The public showcase was complemented by exclusive events for collectors and potential customers, generating enormous interest. Audi used the week to deepen its direct engagement with opinion leaders, the media and the international collector community. As well as the static displays, the supercar also hit the tarmac on the scenic roads around Carmel-by-the-Sea, near the Monterey Peninsula. As well as being a stunning location, these roads have also become such an integral part of car culture in the US and been featured in countless films over the years. The perfect location for the Nuvolari to stretch its legs as it continues to turn heads with its next generation design and next level performance.
