Timeless style meets cutting edge ideas for for tomorrow as Audi takes part in its eighth Milan Design Week.

9 June, 2022

It’s a coming together of designing minds in what is undoubtedly the design and style capital of the world – Milan. For Audi, it is the ninth attendance at the annual Milan Design Week where the international design community showcases products and ideas for shaping the design of the present and future.

Using the historic Medelan Building at the Piazza Corrosion in the heart of Milan as its base, the brand will showcase three of its own most recent design masterpieces – the Audi grandsphere concept, urbansphere concept and A6 Avant e-tron concept – as well as hosting a series of panel discussions and addresses during the week examining design and the all-important subject of sustainability.

That sustainability has become increasingly intertwined with design goes without saying, and Audi continually demonstrates its willingness to embrace new ways of achieving design excellence while employing the use of sustainable materials within that design strategy.

Very well qualified to discuss this subject is Tiziana Mauri, Head of Colour & Trim at AUDI AG, whose work with recycled materials to be used in the brand’s new models demonstrate how luxurious results can be achieved using these new, ecologically friendly materials.

“I can’t imagine a more suitable place than the Milan Design Week to show the diverse way that design impacts each and every area of our lives. Only here does modern design meet traditional craftsmanship – and Italian elegance, international influences,” says Audi’s own Head of Design, Marc Lichte, as the expo gets into full swing.

In addition, Audi has collaborated with furniture manufacturer Poliform, for Milan Design Week, with ‘Audi x Poliform’. Founded in Italy, Poliform sets uncompromisingly high standards in aesthetics and quality and as a result, has risen to become one of the most influential companies in the industry worldwide. The furniture manufacturer will be presenting a virtual presentation of its interior design of the Audi urbansphere concept, the vehicle which was unveiled in April this year and sets new standards for interior space and passenger comfort in its unique vision of future mobility.
